Ruth E. Blosser, 94, of Goshen, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021, at Greencroft Healthcare.
She was born June 14, 1926 in LaGrange County to Clemon and Mary (Light) Burger.
On February 28, 1947, she married Lavon Blosser in Nappanee. He died January 4, 2003.
Survivors include two daughters, Irene (Terry) Rassi and Joyce (James) Sumpter, both of Goshen; six grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Duane Blosser; a granddaughter, Marcy Showalter and four brothers, Glenn, Wilbur, Ivan and Marvin Burger.
A longtime Goshen resident, Mrs. Blosser worked alongside her husband, on the farm driving tractor, baling hay and anything else that needed to be done. She also worked in several restaurants doing food preparation and retired from the produce department of Everett’s grocery store.
She was an active member of Goshen City Church of the Brethren where she volunteered in many different areas. She pieced many blocks into comforters for local charities. Spending time with family, growing flowers and baking cookies gave her joy.
Private family services will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and burial will follow in Yellow Creek Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Goshen City Church of the Brethren or Heifer International.
