Ruth Irene (Becker) Cripe

Ruth Irene (Becker) Cripe, 60, died Sunday, November 8, 2009, at the Clinique Saint Catherine, Avignon, France. She had been ill for six months.  She was born on March 16, 1949, in Ranchi, Bihar, India. She married Donald R. Cripe on June 12, 1971, in Goshen. He survives.  Mrs. Cripe served as a missionary in France, alongside her husband, for 23 years.  She is survived by three daughters, Tamara Galvan, Phoenix, Arizona, Jeanette Lespect, Rachelle, Cripe, both of Williamsport, Maryland; two sons, Stephen Cripe, Goshen, Philip Cripe, Avignon, France; two sisters, Elaine Becker, Salem, Oregon, Mary MacDonald, Fort Mill, South Carolina; two brothers, Paul Becker, San Juan del Rio, Mexico, Jim Becker, Salem, Oregon; and four grandchildren.  Friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Monday, November 16, 2009, and from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, November 17, at the Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2009 funeral service will be conducted at the Zion Chapel, Goshen.  The Reverend Vic Hidlebrand will officiate.  Burial will be in Elkhart Prairie Cemetery, Goshen.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Ribbon of Hope.
