Russell D. Watson

Russell D. Watson, 76, of Goshen, IN went to Heaven to be with Jesus on October 15, 2025. He was born on January 17, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio. Russell was celebrated in a private family ceremony held on October 18, 2026 at Violet Cemetery in Goshen, IN.

Russell was a faithful, loving husband to Cynthia L. Watson for 50 years and wonderful father to his eight children Galilee Barlow (Watson) and her husband Jason, Natalie Morrison (Watson) and her husband Ryan, Bethany Watson, Jordan Watson and his wife Jonna, Stephanie Vice (Watson) and her husband Ashley, Jonathan Watson, Jeffrey Watson, and Allyson Jubilee Lemler (Watson) and her husband Noah. Russ was richly blessed by the lives of his 17 beloved grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother William and Bernice Watson, and his sister Pauline (Watson) Mohr. He was survived by his brothers Dudley Watson and Scott Watson.

Russell was a Vietnam War veteran who proudly served his country as an Air Force Staff Seargent for 7 years. Those who had the privilege of knowing him experienced his quiet love, a twinkle in his eye, and a love of nature, cooking, and woodworking. Above all, his greatest legacy is that of a loving husband and father whose deep love for his family and unwavering faith in Jesus meant more to him than any earthly possession.
