Rudy H. Bontrager

Rudy H. Bontrager, 83, of Goshen, died early Tuesday morning, January 20, 2009, at Courtyard Healthcare. He was born in LaGrange County on April 23, 1925, to Henry R. and Clara J. (Schrock) Bontrager. A Goshen resident since 1945 Mr. Bontrager farmed for Cook Farms in LaGrange.  He had also worked for Shipshewana Sale Barn and did odd jobs for various farmers. He is survived by two brothers, Harvey Bontrager of Goshen and Floyd Bontrager of Mishawaka; and a sister, Barbara Bontrager of Goshen. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Susan Kauffman, Elizabeth and Esther Bontrager; and two brothers, Jonas and Albert Bontrager. Friends may call 1-2 p.m., Thursday, January 22, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 22, 2009, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Rev. Elmer Wall will officiate. Burial will be in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana. Memorial contributions may be given to Salvation Army.
