Ruby M. Rowdabaugh, 85, of Goshen, died Sunday morning, Mary 17, 2009, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing. She was born in Troy Township of Whitley County, Indiana, to Royal W. and Goldie (Hess) Cummins. She married Billy Junior Rowdabaugh on February 23, 1963, at the New Paris Church of the Brethren. He preceded her in death on March 1, 2005. A homemaker, Mrs. Rowdabaugh graduated from North Webster High School and did one year at Manchester College. She was a member of the Rock Run Church of the Brethren where she served as a deaconess; and the WCTU (Women’s Christian Temperance Union). She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie (Gordon) Westphal of New Paris; a son, Richard Rowdabaugh of Goshen; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 19, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. The family will gather for a prayer service at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 20, at the funeral home and go in procession to Baintertown Cemetery for burial. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Rock Run Church of the Brethren, Goshen. Pastor Tim Waits of Rock Run Church of the Brethren and Rev. Wayne Lawson, retired minister will officiate. Memorial contributions may be given to The Center for Healing and Hope or Sonshine Children’s Ministry, Millersburg.
