Ruby J. Nisley Miller, 71, of Goshen, died late Saturday morning, July 4, 2009, at Warsaw Meadows where she had been the past two years. She was born in Denver, Colorado, on August 21, 1937, to Charles Jones and Jessie (Kuhns) Detwiler. She married Clayton “Sone” Nisley on December 29, 1953. He died June 6, 1969. She later married Ernest D. Miller in Syracuse on April 2, 1977. He died September 18, 1989. A lifetime Goshen resident, Mrs. Miller worked as a sales representative and in customer service at Sam’s Club until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel. She enjoyed sewing and crafts and was a licensed florist. She is survived by a son, Douglas Nisley and a daughter, Terri Turner, both of Goshen; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Arlene McCormack of Richland, North Carolina, and Mary (John) Baumer of Tucson, Arizona. Friends may call 6 to 7 p.m., Monday, July 6, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 7:00 p.m., memorial service will be conducted. Rev. Harlan Steffen of Wawasee Lakeside Chapel will officiate. A private family burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Goshen.
