Ruby L. Leer, 91 of Goshen, died Friday, May 22, 2009, at Greencroft Health Care, Goshen. She was born to Omer and Rosa (Grabill) Ganger on May 14, 1918, in Elkhart. She married Charles “Max” Leer in Goshen on July 4, 1950. He passed away February 3, 2002. Mrs. Leer was a homemaker. She delivered Meals on Wheels and had worked at Towncrest Junior High School. She was a member of West Goshen Church of the Brethren where she taught bible school and participated in other activities. She loved to cook and enjoyed gardening. She is survived by two sons, Randall R. (Sandra) Leer of Bristol and Michael D. Leer of Goshen; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Betsy Davenport of Union, Michigan; and three brothers Bud Ganger of Goshen; Dallas Ganger and Max (Janice) Ganger, both of Dunlap. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max; a sister, Wilma Hamilton and two brothers, Chester and Delbert Ganger. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2009, funeral service will be conducted at West Goshen Church of the Brethren with Pastor Norman Replogle officiating. Burial will be at West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials contributions may be made to West Goshen Church of the Brethren or Goshen Care at Home Hospice.
