Ruby P. Jensen

Ruby P. Jensen, 93, passed away Tuesday morning, July 28, 2009, at Greencroft Healthcare.  She was born to Milo and Clara (Lyon) Nettleton on February 18, 1916, in Kingsberry County, South Dakota.  She married Lars C. Jensen on September 25, 1937, in Brookings, South Dakota.  He died on February 4, 1987.  Ruby was a homemaker and a resident of the area since 1941.  She was a member of Prairieview Missionary Church.  She also sold antiques and collectables at Peddler’s Village and in Shipshewana. She is survived by five daughters; Yvonne (Jene) Ford, Joan (Devon) Lawrence, Jean (Bill) Kercher all of Goshen, June (Larry) Elliot of Franklin, North Carolina, and Joyce Troyer of Fort Wayne; one son, Jerry Jensen of New Paris; 23 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Judy K. DuFour; six brothers; and four sisters. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, July 30, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 31, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home with the Reverend Craig Lambright of Prairieview Missionary Church officiating. Burial will be at Oakridge Cemetery of Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made out to Prairieview Missionary Church.
