Ruby Virginia Clem, 96, of Goshen, died Thursday evening, March 27, 2014, at Greencroft Healthcare. She was born April 7, 1917 in Goshen, to Burton and Ruby (Long) Landaw. On March 28, 1948 she married Jesse E. Clem in Goshen. She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca (Tom) Snyder, Warsaw; a son, George (Patricia) Clem, Goshen; four grandchildren, Adam and Justin (Amanda) Snyder, and Ashley and Ralph L. Clem; and a sister, Betty Brenneman, Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her husband; a grandson, Shane; a brother, Kenneth Theron Landaw; and three infant siblings. Mrs. Clem was a lifelong area resident and member of the Bethany Church of the Brethren, New Paris, where she was involved in various music programs and committees. She was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed knitting, crocheting, ceramics, baking and playing the piano, especially when living at Greencroft. Friends may call at the Meeting House, which is at the north entrance of healthcare, 1225 Greencroft Drive, Goshen, Sat. April 5, 2014, from 2 to 4 p.m., and one hour prior to the 3 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2014, funeral service at Bethany Church of the Brethren, 19003 US 6, New Paris. Pastor Tim Morphew will officiate. A private family burial will be on Monday, April 7, at Milford Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Bethany Church of the Brethren, New Paris or Alzheimer's Association
