Ruby P. Cart Hooker

Ruby P. Cart Hooker, 89, died Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at Greencroft Healthcare. She had been seriously ill this last month. On October 6, 1921 to was born in New Paris to Chester and Marie (Blanchard) Cart. She had lived in Goshen since 1993 coming from Jensen Beach, Fla. Surviving is a son Don (Mary Jo) Warstler, Goshen; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, June (Wayne) Whitehead, New Paris. She was preceded by her parents, sisters Helen Ernsberger and Eleanor “Rosie” Davis and brothers Don and George Cart. After graduation at New Paris High School in 1939 she was employed at Bendix. Visitation will be 10-11:30 am Friday, October 15, 2010, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and a Memorial service will follow at 11:30 am. Pamela Kling, Pastoral Assistant at First United Methodist Church will officiate. Following cremation her cremains will be placed in the family columbarium at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
