Ruby E. Bliss

Ruby E. Bliss, 87, of Goshen died Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Courtyard Healthcare, Goshen. She was born February 4, 1928 in Walkerville, Michigan to Lawrence and Irene (Woodward) Routley. She is survived by eight children, Irene (Ricky) Post of Rigby, Idaho, Nancy (Spencer) Scott of Florence, Kentucky, Ellen (Jerry) Smith of Goshen, Barbara (Dennis) Miller of Bellaire, Michigan, Bonnie (Richard) Hill of Eau Claire, Michigan, Bernie Steffeck of Humble, Texas, Rodney Thomas of South Bend, and Richard (Dolores) Thomas of Millersburg; 37 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Gaultney of Whitehall, Michigan, Rosamond (Charles) Wilson of Baxter, Pennsylvania, and Lora (James) Green of Hesperia, Michigan; and three brothers, Roy (Jane) Routley of Mears, Michigan, Samuel (Diana) Routley of Hesperia, Michigan, and George (April) Routley of Hart, Michigan. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dolly Routley, and four brothers, Robert, Niley, Thomas and William Routley. Ruby was a homemaker and member at New Paris Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. An 11 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2015 funeral service will be at the New Paris Church of the Nazarene, 67136 State Road 15, New Paris. Pastor Greg Hall will officiate. Burial will follow at Baintertown Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial gifts may be directed to Gideons International.
