Rozetta Myers, 97, of Goshen, passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 12, 2012, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing. She had been ill about three weeks. She was born in Flora, Indiana, April 5, 1915 to Reuben and Stella (Wagner) Flora. She married Harold D. Myers January 2, 1938 in Nappanee. He died August 30, 1974. She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn (Harvey) Chupp of Shipshewana; five sons, Paul E. (Catherine) Myers of Chicago, Ilinois., Lamar (Patricia) Myers of Lancaster, Pennsylvania., Dallas (Eleanor) Myers of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jan Myers of Goshen and Dan (Deb) Myers of Elkhart; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Catherine (William) Hitch of Tuolumne, California and Lois (Kenneth) Martin of Nappanee. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Wolf and four brothers, Delbert, Clifford, Donald and Chester Flora. A lifetime area resident and homemaker, Mrs. Myers was a member of Salem Mennonite Church. A volunteer at The Depot for many years, she pieced and quilted many quilts and made many items for the MCC Relief Sale. Friends may call 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, December 17, 2012,and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at Salem Mennonite Church, New Paris. A 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2012, funeral service will be conducted at the church with Pastors Terrill Yoder and Jerry Helmuth officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.
