Roy M. Weldy, 91, of Nappanee passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born August 10, 1933 in Milford to Floyd and Marion (Schrock) Weldy.
On October 1, 1994 he married Carolyn (Miller) Martin in Nappanee.
She survives along with his daughters, Linda (Dane Wilkins) Greiner, Elkhart, Debra Frank and Paula (Leroy) Mann, both of Goshen; step-sons, Ty (Jennifer) Martin and Timothy (Hope) Martin both of Nappanee; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by three brothers, Harold (Arla) Weldy, Dale (Mary Lou) Weldy, and Wade (Janice) Weldy.
Along with his parents, he was preceded by a daughter, Myrna Weldy; son-in-law, Roy Frank; and sisters, Dorothy Weldy and Doris Walters.
Roy was a Milford High School graduate and member of Nappanee Missionary Church.
He enjoyed nature, whether it was fishing, and being out on the water, or surrounded by flowers. He also loved to sing and play the harmonica.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.
There will also be one hour of visitation Thursday, February 6, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Nappanee Missionary Church, Nappanee, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral service.
Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
