Roy M. Nussbaum, 78, of Goshen, died Wednesday Morning, December 29, 2010, at Greencroft Healthcare.  He had been in failing health the past two years. He was born July 24, 1932 in West Lebanon, Ohio, to the late Amos and Persis (Amstutz) Nussbaum.  He married Florence E. Hershberger on August 13, 1955, in Garden City, Missouri.  She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Kay (Terry) Shue of Kidron, Ohio, and Rhonda (Roger) Yoder of Goshen; five grandchildren, Bethany (Scott) Nussbaum, Krista (Craig) Mast, Kelsey Shue, Matthew (Chelsey) Yoder and Amanda Yoder; a twin sister, Ruth (Delvin) Nussbaum of Orrville, Ohio; and three brothers, Milan (Laura) Chovan and Emil (Nancy) Chovan, both of Massillon, Ohio, and John Bocko of Dayton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Zimmer and brother, Dan Bocko. A 1950 graduate of Dalton High School, he did voluntary service in Kansas City from 1951-52.   A longtime resident of Kidron, he was a volunteer fireman for more than 10 years.  A Goshen resident since 1986, Mr. Nussbaum drove truck for more than 50 years, most recently for Nickles Bakery.  After retiring in 1997 he worked part-time as a greeter at Meijer, Goshen.  He did voluntary service in 1986-87 for Mennonite Board of Missions at Guest House, Elkhart.  He was a member of College Mennonite Church, Goshen. Friends may call 2 to 6 p.m., Friday, December 31, in the Koinonia Room at College Mennonite Church, and one hour prior to the service. A 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 1, 2011, funeral service will be conducted at College Mennonite Church Chapel with Pastors Ron Kennel and Betty Hochstetler officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Mission Network or College Mennonite Church Jubilee Fund.
