Rosemary Walton, 86, of Goshen died Friday, September 18, 2015 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. She was born June 14, 1929 in Huntington County to Ray and Agnes (Fansler) Barnes. On December 31, 1948 she married William Walton, Sr. in Wabash. He survives along with three daughters, Marla Stafford of Goshen, Janet (Steven) Bolock of Syracuse and Sue Rader of Goshen; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jim (Carolyn) Barnes of Wabash and George (Rosemary) Barnes of La Fontaine. She was preceded in death by a son, William F. Walton, Jr.; a sister, Alice Marie Cross; a brother, Willard Barnes; and two sons-in-law, Virgil Stafford and Amos Martin. A 1947 graduate of the former Banquo high school in Huntington County, Rosemary enjoyed auctions and cooking. She was a member of Grace Community Church and was a devoted homemaker who treasured time with family. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2015 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where an 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2015 funeral will be conducted. Rev. Jeremiah Olson will officiate. Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial gifts may be designated for United Cancer Services of Elkhart County.
