Goshen – RoseAnn Showalter, 90, died Friday, September 6, 2024 at Waterford Crossing.
She was born December 23, 1933 to Kirby and Helen Troyer.
On March 21, 1952 she married Glen Showalter. He died October 12, 2021.
She is survived by three sons, Mike K. Showalter, Syracuse, Bruce A. (Shelly) Showalter, Millersburg and Steve G. (Sheila) Showalter, Goshen. Six grandchildren, Matt (Tammy) Showalter, Brad (Rebecca) Showalter, Karmen (Tyler) Rensberger, Darby (Sarah) Showalter, Bailey (Camden) Bontrager and Kegan Showalter. Nine great-grandchildren, Jackson Showalter, Sadie & Cooper Rensberger, Bo, Indy & Reese Showalter, Murphie Bontrager, Amanda (Carlos) Torres, Abby (Michael) Schrock and a great-great-grandchild, Kai Torres.
RoseAnn was a farmer’s wife, homemaker and a member of Peoples’ Bible Church. She drove a school bus for Fairfield Community Schools for many years and she had been a 4-H leader when her kids were young. RoseAnn enjoyed sewing with her friends at Calico Point and she made many beautiful quilts and gifts for her family & friends. She was also a wonderful cook.
Honoring RoseAnn’s wishes, she will be cremated. A private graveside service will take place at a later date.
