Rosa L. Yoder Brovont

Rosa Lucille Yoder-Brovont, 94, of Wakarusa, died Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Miller’s Merry Manor.

She was born September 15, 1924 in Elkhart County to John and Francis Hufford.

She was united in marriage to Lee O. Yoder on October 16, 1942.  He died January 15, 1990.  To this union was born five children, Phyllis Brovont, John (Dorothy) Yoder, Dean (Jane) Yoder, Tom (Melissa) Yoder and Joe (Sylvia) Yoder.  Also surviving are 15 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great-grandchildren and two sisters, Doris Clark and Velma (Kenny) Stull.

On August 17, 1991 she married Chester Brovont.  He died January 5, 2007.  Also surviving are his three daughters, Brenda Adams, Linda Geiser and Nancy (Everett) Oyler.

She was preceded in death by both husbands, four brothers, Alpha, Jesse, Marvin and Levi Hufford; two sisters, Gladys Overholser and son-in-law, Floyd Brovont.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 27, 2019, from 8 until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.  Donald Peters will officiate.

Burial will follow in Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery.  Grandsons Steve Brovont and Paul, Rodney, Greg, Eric, Brandon and Leland Yoder will serve as pallbearers.
