Ronnie "Duffy" N. Middleton, 86, of Goshen passed away into eternity surrounded by his family, Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Waterford Crossing Health Campus where he had resided the last four years.
He was born January 15, 1939 in Goshen to Clinton and Winifred (Myers) Middleton.
On September 21, 1979 he married Rebecca Stoelting at First United Methodist Church, Elkhart.
“Duffy” as Ron was known, is survived by three children, Guy (Janet) Middleton of Augusta, Missouri, Brett (Robin) Middleton of Elkhart and Michelle (Karl) Graber of North Webster; three step-children; 18 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and three siblings, Shirley Peeples of Phoenix, Arizona, Mark Mock of Denver, Colorado and Pat Hoover of Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Rebecca.
A veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, Ron was a member of the V.F.W. Goshen and served in the Honor Guard. He worked for Johnson Controls and was a past president of the union.
Ron was an active member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. He was an avid coin collector and enjoyed restoring old cars. He was also a “ham” radio operator.
Visitation will take place Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. memorial service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place.
