Ronald R. Kelly, 74, of Goshen, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 4, 2012, at his home after an extended battle with cancer. He was born January 24, 1938 in Indianapolis to the late Raymond and Dorothea (Scheele) Kelly. He married Demarus "Demy" L. Black June 16, 1956 in Indianapolis. She preceded him in death April 20, 2011. He is survived by two daughters, Diane (Louis) McKibbin, Goshen, and Susan (Jay) Warstler of New Paris; a son, Randy Kelly of Goshen; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Paul (Norma) Kelly and Albert Kelly, both of Indianapolis; and his beloved dog, Rocco. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Theresa Kelly Altes, Marilyn Kelly and Pamela Kelly. A Goshen resident since 1965, Mr. Kelly worked as production manager at Smoker-Craft for 44 years. He was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Elkhart Moose. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, traveling, helping people and going to garage sales. In retirement his hobby was in the bicycle business-buying, selling and fixing bikes for neighbor kids. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 6 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 5:30 p.m. Rosary Service will be conducted. A 9:30 a.m., Saturday, July 7, 2012, funeral mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Goshen. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
