Ronald James Dueck

Ronald James Dueck, 61, of Goshen, died Wednesday afternoon, July 11, 2007, at Goshen General Hospital.  He had been ill since June 15.  He was born in Rosthern, Saskatchewan, Canada, on July 4, 1946, to the late Arthur W. Dueck and Alice (Roth) Dyck of Rosthern, Canada.  He married Deloris Schwartz on August 2, 1969, in Pretty Prairie, Kansas.  She survives.  A 16 year resident of Goshen, Mr. Dueck was vice-president of Group Business Development for Mennonite Mutual Aid in Goshen.  He was a member of College Mennonite Church.  He is survived by his wife, Deloris; his mother, Alice Dyck; a daughter Jocelyn (Curt) Powell of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a son, Joel Dueck of Goshen; and two grandchildren, Cassie and Clay Powell.  He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur; a sister, Trudy Wiebe; and a brother, Gary Dueck.  Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 13, in the Koinania Room at College Mennonite Church.  A 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 14, 2007, memorial service will be held in the Fellowship Hall at College Mennonite Church, Goshen.  Pastor Firman Gingerich of College Mennonite Church and Pastor Neil Amstutz of Waterford Mennonite Church will officiate.  Memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Mutual Aid Sharing Fund or United Cancer Services of Elkhart County.
