Ronald Adkins

Ronald Adkins, 72, of Goshen, died of natural causes at his home on Sunday, August 21, 2011. He was born August 22, 1938 in Holden, West Virginia to the late Perlie Silas and Freda (Adams) Adkins. He married Glenda Walsh in 1960 in West Virginia. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Ronna (Mark) Beck and Julie (Jeff) Sweetser, both of Goshen; four grandchildren, Brendan and Cailin Beck, and Drew and Jillian Sweetser; and two brothers, Larry (Audie) Adkins, Dallas, Tex. and Tom Adkins, Goshen. A 51 year Goshen resident, Mr. Adkins retired as an inspector from Western Rubber. He had also worked at Walmart. He coached the Burger Dairy Indians baseball team for the American League at Goshen Parks and Recreation for 18 years. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 7 p.m., funeral service will be conducted. Cremation by Yoder-Culp Crematory will follow the service. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
