Roma J. Wilson, 86, of Goshen, died Friday, January 7, 2022 at her home.

She was born June 16, 1935 in Elkhart to Ray and Erma (Stauffer) Weldy.

On December 4, 1955 she married Gerald A. Wilson in Wakarusa. He preceded her in death last year.

She is survived by three sons, Kent (Darlene) Wilson and Gregory (Kimberly Evans) Wilson, both of Goshen, and Jeffrey Wilson of Cromwell; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Lewis, Dewey and Harry Weldy; a sister, Irene Elliott; and a great grandson, Mason Alan Wilson.

Roma was a 1954 graduate of Elkhart High School. Following her marriage, she and Gerald served as missionaries in Puerto Rico from 1956-61.

Mrs. Wilson held many titles during her life; she worked for the Elkhart County Extension Office; owned and operated a convenience store; was a gift shop clerk and Avon representative.

A member of Pleasant View Church, Roma sang in an octet for several years, performing programs for other churches. She was also a Red Hat Society member for several years.

Visitation will be Friday, January 14, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Pleasant View Church, 58529 C.R. 23, Goshen.

A funeral service will be conducted at the church, Saturday, January, 15, 2022 at 10 a.m.

Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Goshen.
