Roger E. Stroud

November 12, 1960 — July 11, 2016

Roger E. Stroud, 55 of Goshen died peacefully Monday afternoon, July 11, 2016 at his home.


He was born November 12, 1960 in Decatur, Michigan to Houston “Cleo” and Mildred (Zerbe) Stroud.


He is survived by a daughter, Ronda Stroud and a son, Adam Stroud both of Goshen; two grandchildren, Andromeda Lawson and Kayden Hyndman Stroud; two sisters, Melinda Miller and Joetta (Wallace) Vanhook, III both of Goshen; two brothers, Houston (Penny) Stroud, Jr. and James Weddell, Jr. both of Goshen; and many nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, William “Bill” and Jerry Stroud.


Roger worked at Goshen Stamping for more than 35 years.  He enjoyed karate and practiced until he became an 8th degree black belt.  He was very proud of his children and grandchildren and always felt he was very blessed.


Visitation will be Friday, July 15, 2016 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home prior to the 3:30 p.m. funeral service led by Rev. Norman Replogle of the West Goshen Church of the Brethren.


Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory. Burial will be at Harrison Cemetery, Decatur, Michigan at a later time.


Memorial gifts may be directed to Riley Children’s Hospital.
