Roger L. Stephens

Roger L. Stephens, of Iriga, Philippines and formerly of Goshen, 55, died unexpectedly Saturday, September 3, 2016 in Iriga.

He was born September 19, 1960 in LaPorte to Charles and Mary (Tamlin) Stephens.

On September 11, 1981 he married Louisa McCloskey in Goshen.

Roger is survived by his mother, Mary Stephens of Goshen; three children, Misty (Troy) Trenshaw, Tiffany (Kevin) Neff and Shawna Stephens, all of Goshen; 11 grandchildren; four siblings, Ron Stephens and Roxanne Buzzard, both of Angola, Rebecca (Dana) Stanley of Topeka and Robin Yoder of Shipshewana; and his ex-wife, Louisa Ross of Goshen.

He was preceded in death by his father and a grandson, Marty Clawson, Jr.

A longtime Goshen resident, he graduated from Goshen High School in 1978.  He served in the Marine Corps and was a member of the Goshen DAV and VFW.

He was a people person and loved to joke.

Services and burial will be in San Francisco Cemetery, Iriga, Philippines.
