Roger J. Metras

Roger J. Metras, 78, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.

He was born November 11, 1938 in Malone New York to Gracien and Georgine (Young) Metras.

On March 25, 1978 he married Joyce L. Parkhill in Titusville, New Jersey.

She survives along with a sister, Anne M. Fraga of North Dartmouth, Massachusetts.

Mr. Metras proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1957 until retiring in 1977.  He received the Meritorious Service Medal and was a life member of the VFW, DAV and American Legion.

He then went to work for Bank of America and following that retirement he worked as a massage therapist at the Pennington-Ewing Athletic Club in Ewing, New Jersey.  He also was a chauffeur for Waterford Crossing in Goshen until 2010.

He attended First Baptist Church, Goshen.

Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory and private services will beheld at a later date.

Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church, Goshen.
