Roger Alan Kisseberth, 77, of Goshen, passed away suddenly Friday afternoon, September 13, 2013, at Courtyard Healthcare where he had been three weeks. He was born August 19, 1936 in Sturgis, Michigan, to Milo and Martha (Mieras) Kisseberth. He married Marcella (Daub) Fisher November 21, 1992 in Goshen. She survives along with a son, Mark T. (Jann Groom) Kisseberth of Winter Garden, Florida; two step-daughters, Pamela (Mark Morton) Fisher, and Juli (Mitch) Kaylor, both of Goshen; a step-son, Bradley (Anita) Fisher of Middlebury; five grandchildren, Kate, Hayley and Landon Fisher and Kiara and Lance Kaylor; a brother, Richard J. (Mary Kay) Kisseberth of Denver, Colorado; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marlene Kisseberth Sprister. He was a graduate of the Sturgis school system and Central Michigan University, where he was active in student politics. He spent much of his career in real estate in both Michigan and Indiana. He was a U.S. Army veteran. A charter member of the Goshen Sunrisers Kiwanis Club, he was devoted to the mission and good works of Kiwanis International and the local club. An active member of 16 years, he served twice as club president (98-99 and 2004-05), secretary for many years and as Lt. Governor of the Land of Lakes Division for 2002-03. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, September 16, 2013, and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. service on Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Fellow Kiwanian and longtime friend, Tim Yoder will officiate. Cremation will follow the service and burial will be at a later date at Violett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children.
