Roger Jay Christophel, Mishawaka, 74, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Brickyard Healthcare.
He was born on October 16, 1951, in Elkhart County, to Theron and Charlene (Showalter) Christophel.
Surviving Roger are his sisters, Sandra Buss, Pepperell, Massachusetts, Shirley Christophel (Steve Zoller), Mount Morris, New York, and Ronda (Chris) Miller, Newport News, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theron and Charlene.
Roger was an avid sports fan, with a special love for Notre Dame men’s and women’s basketball. He had an incredible mind for statistics and numbers and enjoyed keeping track of facts and figures.
He will be buried at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church Cemetery at a later date.
