Roger Burkhead

Roger Burkhead, Sr., 62, of Goshen, died of natural causes at his home on Thursday afternoon, February 2, 2012. He was born July 16, 1949 in LaGrange to the late Franklin B. and Louise (Byler) Burkhead. He is survived by six sons, Roger (Katie) Burkhead, Jr., and Benjamin (Heather) Burkhead, both of Elkhart, Terry (Becki) Burkhead, Goshen, Martin Burkhead, Middlebury and Robert Burkhead and Don Sparlin, both of New Market, Tenn.; two daughters, Brenda (Scott) Bloomer, Goshen and Franciska Tschohl, Arcadia; and 12 grandchildren. A graduate of Goshen High School, Mr. Burkhead retired from the Army. Friends may call 12 to 2 p.m., Monday, February 6, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 6, 2012, graveside service, with military honors, will be conducted at Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Chaplain Marshall Donagan of the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department will officiate.
