Roger E. Bishop

November 28, 1946 — June 24, 2017

Roger E. Bishop, 70, of Goshen, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Elkhart.


He was born November 28, 1946 in Cando, North Dakota to Frank and Ruby (Markwardt) Bishop.


On August 21, 1970 he married Marilyn Fisher in Harvey, North Dakota.


She survives along with a daughter, Traci Hollis of Goshen; a son, Brent (Angie) Bishop of Fishers; five grandchildren, Brianna (fiancé Colton Johnson), KaCy, and Andrew Hollis of Goshen, and Ruby and Nora Bishop of Fishers; two great-grandchildren, Paityn and Avery Johnson; and a sister, Sandra Volk of Las Vegas.


Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and in-laws, in which he had a special relationship.


He was preceded in death by his parents.


Roger earned his bachelor’s degree from Minot State College in North Dakota. He and Marilyn moved to Goshen in 1982 and began working in the R.V. Industry. He later started his own business, R. Bishop Distributors.


Roger was a family man, and took great joy in time spent with family and friends.


According to his wishes, cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory, Goshen.

A celebration of Roger’s life will be Saturday, July 1st, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Lifestyle Center at Keystone Pointe, 1903 Keystone Dr, Goshen.
