Roderick A. Growcock, 58, of Middlebury died Friday, December 21, 2018 in Goshen.
He was born July 22, 1960 in Goshen to Deo and Judith (Smith) Growcock.
He is survived by two sons, Steve (Sara Smith) Pavel of Avon and Lucas (Cheyenne Osborne) Pavel of Elkhart; and former wife and mother of his children, Michele Pavel of Syracuse.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Loren Growcock.
A West Noble High School graduate, Roderick was a member of the National Honor Society. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Tri-State University, Angola, now known as Trine University. He worked as an engineer at Crown International, manufacturing audio production equipment including speakers and amplifiers.
He was very athletic and enjoyed playing basketball and was an amazing scratch golfer. He especially enjoyed playing locally at South Shore and Maxwelton golf courses.
A modest and humble man, he loved his boys beyond measure.
A celebration of Roderick’s life will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.
Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory. A private burial will be at Sparta Cemetery, Kimmel.
Memorial gifts may be directed to Yoder-Culp Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
