Roberta N. Plank, 88, of Goshen, died Thursday, August 4, 2022 at The Laurels of Goshen.
She was born June 8, 1934 in Lovington, Illinois.
On September 27, 1952 she married John G. Plank in Arthur, Illinois. He died November 6, 2013.
Survivors include a daughter, Jan (Orus) Goppert of New Paris; two sons, Gary L. (Sherry) Plank of Millersburg and Kevin J. (Sandi) Plank of Elkhart; two grandchildren, Oren (Sallie) Goppert of New Paris and Joshua (Lisa) Plank of Katzrin, Israel; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Delbert (Regina) Yoder of Goshen, and Lester (Jolene) Yoder of Middlebury; and two sisters-in-law, Ginger Carlisle of Cassopolis, Michigan, and Janette Yoder of Goshen.
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph M. Yoder and Martha Miller; two grandsons, Matthew Goppert and Jeremy Plank; and two brothers, Dean and Leon Yoder.
Mrs. Plank was a loving homemaker and member of Clinton Frame Church. She worked at various jobs throughout her life including Carriage R.V., at Greencroft as a receptionist, in housekeeping and food service. She also worked with her husband in the office of 2000 Realty until she retired in 2013.
Roberta never found a dull moment; she enjoyed working in the yard, going for walks, playing cards with friends, and watching basketball games with her brothers. She was happiest entertaining and feeding the family, and took great joy in the grandchildren boating on Lake Wawasee at Plank’s Marina, and the great-grandchildren using the swimming pool and trampoline.
Visitation will be Monday, August 8, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m., at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral service. Rev. Robert Vale will officiate.
Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
