Roberta Beard

Roberta V. Beard, 85, of New Paris died Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the home of her son, after battling cancer for more than a year.

She was born March 27, 1931 in Quinwood, West Virginia to Robert Preston and Thelma (Rider) Morris.

Survivors include her husband, Charles; three sons, Scott Beard and companion Janette Yoder of Millersburg and Mike (Beth) Beard and Marty (Kim) Beard both of Goshen; four grandchildren, Jessica (Ryan) Yoder, Matthew, Josh and Grace Beard; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gary Morris of Elkhart.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Sonja and Donna Mae Morris.

Mrs. Beard was a loving homemaker.  She enjoyed gardening, canning and spending time with grandchildren.

Visitation will begin Monday, August 15, 2016, one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastor Jim Breniser will officiate.

Burial will follow at New Paris Cemetery.
