Robert H. Wray, 91, of Goshen, died early Monday morning, August 12, 2013, at Courtyard Healthcare after a short illness. He was born Oct. 1, 1921 in Atwood to Roy and Bertha (Kintzel) Wray. He married Mary Marquess March 23, 1944 in Atwood. She survives along with two sons, Jim (Cathy) Wray, Goshen and Jeff (Lori) Wray, St. Charles, Ill.; two daughters, Barbara Wray and Nancy (Steve) Petry, both of Goshen; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles and Lowell Wray; and a sister, Laurabelle Myers. A Goshen resident since 1949, Mr. Wray retired as production foreman from Western Rubber after more than 30 years of service. A World War II veteran, he was a life member of V.F.W. #985, American Legion and D.A.V. A member of Plymouth United Church of Christ, he was an I.U. and Cubs fan; and a great euchre player. Friends may call 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2013, and one hour prior to the 1:00 p.m., funeral service on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Linda Sue Hewitt, Plymouth United Church of Christ will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be at Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be given to Plymouth United Church of Christ.
