Robert D. Miller

Robert D. Miller, 93, formerly of Goshen, died 3:02 am Sunday, June 27, 2010, at Cass County Medical Care Facility, Cassopolis, Michigan. He was born November 1, 1916 in Wilshire, Mercer County, Ohio, to John J. and Frona (Dull) Miller.  He married Ruth Wilden, April 19, 1937 in Albion. She died April 27, 2008. A member of First Brethren Church, Goshen, Mr. Miller worked for Bendix Corporation for 35 years on the brake assembly line. He is survived by three daughters, Susan (Gary) Bargerhuff of Cassopolis, Michigan, Pam (Marvin) Eash of Charlotte, North Carolina and Ann Lambdin of Nashville, Tennessee; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Beatrice Miller of Indianapolis; and a brother, Donald (Deanna) Miller of Goshen. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Betty Hartzler, Lavern Powell, Mary Baer and Joan Burt; and four brothers, Paul, Bill, Ray and Merlin Miller. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 1, and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. An 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 2, 2010, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home with Pastor John Drexler and Pastor Larry Baker officiating. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be given to First Brethren Church, Goshen or to Cass County Medical Care Facility, Cassopolis, Michigan.
