Robert F. Maust, 84, of Goshen, died early Sunday morning, December 8, 2013, at his daughter's home. He was born December 17, 1928 in Goshen to Edward and Emma (Kauffman) Maust. On October 28, 1950 he married Carol L. Nisley in Goshen. She died November 13, 2004. Mr. Maust is survived by a daughter, Anita (Dale) Snyder of Goshen; three sons, Rodney (Martha) Maust of Indianapolis, Jerry Maust of Goshen and Brian (Ingrid Olson) Maust of Lincoln, Nebraska; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a brother, Lowell (Fern) Maust of Goshen. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; a daughter, Tina Marie Maust and a brother, Edward Maust. A lifelong Goshen resident, Mr. Maust was a member of Clinton Frame Mennonite Church and volunteered at The Depot. He enjoyed tinkering and always kept busy with many projects and hobbies while bringing smiles to many faces with his positive attitude and sense of humor. He retired in 1994 from Goshen Dairy Farm Products after 28 years. Previously, he worked at Goshen Manufacturing Company for 22 years, while farming his parent's farmstead and maintaining his father's "new" Ford tractor until his death. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2013 and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church, Goshen. There will be a prayer service at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, followed by a graveside service at Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen, prior to the 11:30 a.m. memorial service at the church. Pastor Terry Diener will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to The Depot.
