Robert W. Lafary

Robert W. LaFary, 88, of Goshen, died at his home Sunday morning, April 5, 2015. He was born November 28, 1926 in Des Moines, Iowa, to Lloyd and Mary (Havens) LaFary. On September 20, 1947 he married Laura Hankins at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Goshen. She died July 26, 2009. Survivors include a daughter, Roberta (Quentin) Williams, of Goshen; two grandchildren, Brandi (Dennis) Russell and Jason Williams; four great-grandchildren, Adaline, Allison, Mattie and Clara; and a brother, Michael (Fay) LaFary, of Goshen. Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Lou Replogle, Arlene and Betty LaFary. Mr. LaFary was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in WWII. He was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, the V.F.W., D.A.V., and American Legion. Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory. There will be no services.
