Robert L. Kurzhal, 74, of Goshen died Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Elkhart Hospice House.
Born in Plymouth on Sep 12, 1945, he was the son of Maynard and Mazel Kurzhal and the brother to Samuel K., and Peggy Jane, who are all deceased. Robert came to live with his ADEC family at a home in Goshen in 1993. He was an assembler at ADEC Industries for many years.
Robert was a friendly and cheerful man, who often expressed compassion for the less fortunate. He loved Elvis, and Roy Orbison and often requested Hound Dog and Pretty Woman at sing-a longs. He was an avid fan of Batman, super heroes, and had a strong sense of justice. He loved to tidy up the kitchen, and be helpful. He painted lovely landscapes, and was an enthusiastic Bingo player. He loved trips to the Dairy Queen for onion rings, milk shakes, and some one on one time with a friend. He generally had a positive thing to say even when he was having a bad day. He enjoyed church services, and his favorite gospel song was I’ll Fly Away . He also enjoyed ceramics and action club, through ADEC, and always took his many appointments in stride.
He was a kind and faithful friend to many. He will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Monday, June 22, 2020 from 3 p.m. until the 4 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
