Robert Gene Miller, 76, of New Paris, died Saturday morning, March 24, 2012 at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born December 25, 1935 to the late William and Fern (Barnard) Miller. On August 5, 1956, he married Donna Pepple . She survives. Also surviving are three children, Patsy Mlller of Syracuse, Alisa (Maury Dusendschon) Pratt of Fort Wayne and Eric (Meghan) Miller of McKinney, Texas; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Keith Miller, Betty (Gabbard) Miller and Larry Miller. He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Shalynn Wiggs; three brothers, Harold, Ronald, and William Jr. Miller; and two sisters, Mary Twiford and Marjorie Perrin. Mr. Miller graduated from New Paris High School in 1955. He was employed at Chore -Time Brock for 40 years, where he retired as a supervisor in production. He was a member of Maple Grove Church of the Brethren where he headed several commissions over the years and served as a deacon. He served in the Indiana National Guard for eight years and was a member of the Millersburg American Legion. Friends may call 2 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. An 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2012, funeral service will be conducted at Maple Grove Church of the Brethren with Pastor Dwayne Runkle officiating. Burial will follow at Whitehead Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Nordin, Brian and Chris Doty, Brad Brennaman, Robert Lonjin, Jon Burnworth, Jr., Samuel Burnworth, and Maury Dusendschon.
