Robert G. Miller, 85, of Goshen died Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at his home surrounded by family.

He was born November 25, 1939 in New Paris to Ray E. and Eillen P. (Miller) Miller.

On October 27, 1962 he married Janet A. Monschein in Goshen.

She survives along with children, Cinda A. Sorrell and Matthew R. Miller, both of Goshen; grandchildren, Hannah Sorrell, Taylor (Cedes) Miller and Kaitlin Miller; and great-grandchildren, Archer and Vivian Miller.

He is also survived by his twin brother, Gordon Miller, and two sisters, Beverly Deter and Diana (Robert) Coleman, all of Goshen.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara McCoy.

A 1958 New Paris High School graduate, Bob was a starter and leading scorer for the basketball team, wearing number 44. Mr. Miller was a charter member of the Exchange Club of Elkhart County and long-time member at Maplecrest Country Club.

In 1961 he graduated from the Indiana College of Mortuary Science, Indianapolis. In that same year he became an integral part of the Yoder-Culp Funeral Home family, serving families until his retirement in 2009. He retired as part owner and secretary treasurer of Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.

Bob was an active member of Goshen First Church. He enjoyed golfing and conversations over coffee at The Olympia Candy Kitchen, Goshen.

Bob was well known and loved by so many in the community. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Wednesday, also at the funeral home. Pastor Diana Siegel and Rev. Timothy T. Yoder will officiate.

Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
