Robert "Bob" Eugene Fowler, 76, of New Paris passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Goshen Hospital.
He was born May 21, 1950, in Goshen, to Eugene and Catherine (Pietro) Fowler. They preceded him in death.
Robert dedicated much of his career to law enforcement, serving with the Goshen Police Department and then many years for the state of Nevada. Following his years of public service, he owned and operated Rustic Inn, a business that reflected his entrepreneurial spirit. He was a handy man and jack of all trades. He was known for his strong work ethic, love of family, and straightforward nature.
He is survived by his loving wife, June (Kauffman) Fowler and children, John (Michelle) Fowler, Goshen, Erin Fowler, New Paris, and Eric (Amber) Fowler, Middlebury. He was a proud grandfather to Abigail, Karoline, Jayden, Haylei, Vivienne and Everett, and cherished great-grandfather to Jackson.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Adam Fowler.
Also surviving are his sisters, Pam Hunsberger and Vicki (Gregg) Miller, both of Goshen.
Robert enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sharing stories from his years in law enforcement, and valued the simple pleasures of life. Those who knew him will remember his determination, his willingness to work hard, and the love he had for his children and grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
