Robert T. Butler

Robert T. Butler, 75, Punta Gorda, FL, died Saturday, April 21, 2007, at Fawcette Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte, FL.  He was born May 31, 1931, in Goshen, to Robert T. and Lucile (Cripe) Butler.  On December 25, 1952, he married Betty Jane Zakis.  She survives.   A 1949 graduate of Goshen High School and a 1951 graduate of Embry Riddle School of Aviation, Mr. Butler worked as a mechanic for Pan American for 35 years before retiring in 1986.  He also worked as a policeman for four years in Miami.   He served in the US Army from 1951 to 1954 and was a member of West Miami Masonic Lodge.   He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean; two daughters, Brenda Lynn (Michael) Hardy and Belinda Lee Butler, both of Miami, Florida; and four grandchildren.   Friends will be received 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, at the funeral home.   A 9:30 a.m., Thursday, April 26, 2007, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Rev. Todd Neuschwander of Living Water Mennonite Church will officiate.   Burial will be in West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen.
