Robert E. Bosse, 95, of Goshen, died Saturday morning, November 20, 2010, at Rivercrest Specialty Hospital, Mishawaka. He was born on January 27, 1915, in Goshen to the late Louis and Ina (Roth) Bosse. He married R. Wiladean Schoomaker in Goshen on July 31, 1936. She died January 30, 1996. He then married Janet (Blue) Berkey on December 27, 1997 in Goshen. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Diana K. (Tom) Pinkerman of Goshen; two step-sons, Stephen (Arlene) Berkey of Nashville, Tennessee, and James (Marilyn) Berkey of Austin, Texas; two grandsons, David (Magda) Pinkerman and Mark Pinkerman; a brother, Donald (Isabelle) Bosse of Fort Wayne; six step-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death a daughter, Leslee N. Bosse, in 1959;two sisters, Katherine Chandler and Jeanette Huber; and five brothers, George, Louis, Richard, Carl and John Bosse. A member of Plymouth United Church of Christ, Mr. Bosse was a Boy Scout Leader. He served on a fundraising committee for the March of Dimes in the 1950’s to help find a cure for polio. His body will be cremated by Yoder-Culp Crematory and a memorial service will be held at Plymouth United Church of Christ, Goshen, at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 4, 2010. Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen High School Band or Elkhart County 4-H Fair.
