Robert "Marc" Bird

Robert Marc Bird of Marion, Indiana, passed away on January 9, 2008, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, after a year long battle with lung cancer. He was born December 2, 1963, in Bloomington, Indiana, to Robert and Lillian (Meadows) Bird.  He attended schools in Indiana and Florida, graduating from Columbus East High School Columbus, Indiana, in 1982.  During his lifetime he was a DJ, singer, songwriter, composer, musician and record producer.  In the last 10 years of his life, he cared for his parent and bought and sold records and books at flea markets and on the internet. Marc was preceded in death by his parent, his first wife, Teresa Copeland, and their infant son, Michael. He is survived by his life companion, Jodeena Thomas of Marion, Indiana; a sister, Karen Summers of North Vernon, Indiana; a nephew; two great-nephews; and many friends. There will be a new angel singing in heaven. Please, no flowers, but cards are welcome. Yoder-Culp Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.  His wishes were to be cremated.
