Robert Lee Anglemyer Sr., 81, of Goshen, died on Monday, January 5, at Goshen Hospital. He was born on July 12, 1944, to Glenn E. Anglemyer and Mary (Murdock) Leiter.
On August 20, 1972, Robert married Sharon Lee Mills in Goshen. She preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his parents and his grandson, David Allen Anglemyer.
Robert is survived by his sons, Robert Anglemyer Jr. and Jamie Anglemyer; his grandchildren, Jonathan Anglemyer, Tiffany Hill, and Jessica Anglemyer; four great-grandchildren, Anna, Cody, Faith, and Jonathan; and his siblings, Joan Shaffer, Bonnie Mast, Stephen (Cindy) Anglemyer, and Scott Leiter.
Robert proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He worked at Hull Lift and later at Johnson Controls for 29 years before retiring. A lifelong blood donor, he continued his legacy of giving by becoming an organ donor upon his passing. He enjoyed hunting and was highly skilled with firearms, competing in the Quigley Shoot on at least two occasions. Robert was also musically talented and especially enjoyed pan flute music. He was also a member of First Brethren Church.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8, from 3–7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 9, at 11 a.m., also at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow at Violett Cemetery in Goshen. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Kidney Fund.
