Robert Raymond Albrecht

Robert Raymond Albrect, 90, of Goshen died Tuesday evening, March 4, 2008, at Greencroft Healthcare. He was born in Tiskilwa, Illinois on July 29, 1917, to Alvin and Emma (Kruse) Albrecht. He married Lois K. Ringenberg on April 11, 1941. She died August 31, 2000. Mr. Albrecht was a farmer and ran a logging mill in Tiskilwa before moving to Goshen in 1994. He served in Civilian Conservation Corps, along with his wife. A longtime member of the Nazarene Church, he and his wife served as missionaries in Central America, Mexico and the US. He is survived by lifetime friends, John Hollis, Sam and Dena Williams, Stefan and Mary Petryszyn, Olga Petryszyn and Lewis Myers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois; and sister, Ethel Albrecht. A memorial service will be held on March 29, 2008 at 11:00 a.m., at the New Paris Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Don Meiner will officiate. Fellowship will follow. A second memorial service will be held on July 19, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in Princeton, Illinois at the New Hope Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Laura Root will officiate. Fellowship will follow the memorial service. Private burial will be in Albrecht Cemetery near Princeton, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Hope Church of the Nazarene, 30 N 6th Street, Princeton, IL 61356.
