Rita R. Poindexter

Rita Reneé Poindexter, 60, of Goshen, died Sunday afternoon, December 22, 2013 at her home, following an extended illness. She was born August 30, 1953 in Goshen to Gerald R. Poindexter and Laura B. Bleile. Rita is survived by a brother, Mark Poindexter, of Goshen; and a sister, Tina (Sam) Moffett, of Ft. Wayne. A lifelong area resident, she worked at Triangle Rubber for 30 years prior to retirement. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Church, and past member of Goshen City Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed bowling in the W.I.B.C. league (Women's International Bowling Congress). Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Thursday, December 26, 2013, at Bethel Missionary Church, 63503 C.R. 7, Goshen. Pastor Joel Gentz will officiate. Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery. Yoder-Culp Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
