Rita Louise Noftsier

Rita L. Noftsier, 67, of Goshen, died Monday, June 17, 2019, at Waterford Crossing.

She was born June 15, 1952 in Goshen.

Survivors include her mother, Dorothy (Haines) Rassi of Huntington; son, Romeyn A. (Rhonda) Noftsier of Lowville, New York; a grandchild; two sisters, Yvonne (Max) Mault of Goshen and Maureen (Bill) Cole of Indianapolis and a brother, Doug (Vicki) Rassi of Jeffersonville.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Rassi.

A 1970 graduate of Goshen High School, Rita went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Goshen College and a master’s degree in Utica, New York as a reading specialist.

Rita loved her work as a teacher and her students loved her.

Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 28, at 10:30 a.m. at Archbishop Noll Memorial Chapel, 25 Victory Noll Drive, Huntington, IN  46750.  Father Tony Steinacker will officiate.

Burial will be in Victory Noll Cemetery, Huntington.

Memorial donations may be given to Harbor Light Hospice.
