Rigoberto Ramirez

Rigoberto Ramirez, 66 of Goshen, died Friday, August 22, 2014, at his home of natural causes. He was born September. 18, 1947 in Aguascalientes, Mexico, to Ana Maria (Ramirez) Valenzuela. On September 15, 1972 he married Molly Lopez. She survives along with four children, Katherine Ramirez, of Elkhart; Rigoberto Ramirez, Jr., of Saginaw, Michigan; Victor Ramirez, of Goshen; and Michael (Kara) Ramirez, of Elkhart; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers; and four sisters. He was preceded in death by his mother. Rigoberto was employed at Plumrose USA in Elkhart as a line supervisor in the smokehouse. He belonged to the United Food & Commercial Workers Union as a union representative and also attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Goshen. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where a 6:00 pm funeral service will follow the visitation. His body will be cremated after the service. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
