Richard Vicary                                                                                           Richard Vicary, 87, of Elkhart and formerly of Goshen, died early Sunday evening, October 21, 2007, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born in Jackson, Michigan, on November 7, 1919, to Walter and Laura (Marquardt) Vicary.  He married Margaret Ackerson on June 17, 1945 in Waterloo, Michigan.  She survives. A farmer, Mr. Vicary also worked at Goshen Iron and Metal retiring in 1993.  He then worked at Meijer’s for 10 years as a baker. While living in Waterloo, Michigan Mr. Vicary was involved in the nursery program and san in the choir for 25 years at the Evangelical United Brethren Church.  He had a love for trains, woodworking and Michigan football. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; a son, Robert Lee (Sue) Vicary of Wakarusa; a daughter, Linda L. Vicary of Goshen, four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Annabelle Gochenour. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 24 at the funeral home. A 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 25, 2007, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Rev. George Boehm of the Warsaw Church of God will officiate. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Valley View Reflections Unit.
