Richard N. Steffen, 71, Goshen, died Saturday morning, March 13, 2010, at his home. He had been ill two months. He was born in Kidron, Ohio, on May 26, 1938, to the late David and Luella (Geiser) Steffen. A graduate of Eastern Mennonite High School, Harrisonburg, Virginia, and Hesston College, Hesston, Kansas, Mr. Steffen worked at Parker Hannifin Corporation for 46 years. He was a member of Pleasant View Mennonite Church, Goshen. He is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Mark Dodge) Steffen, Denver, Colorado, and Jodi, (Ed) Gustafson, Alpharetta, Georgia; three grandchildren, Lydia Dodge, and Justin and Kati Gustafson; three brothers, Glenn (Marge) Steffen, Lititz, Pennsylvania, Mahlon (Jean) Steffen, Apple Creek, Ohio, and John (Sharon) Steffen, Orrville, Ohio; and three sisters, Dorcas (Carl) Hanbury, Chesapeake, Virginia, LeAnne (Glenn) Miller, Real Ranch, New Mexico, and Ruthie (Wes) Yoder, Goshen. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Steffen and a sister, Marilyn Miller. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 15 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. An 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2010, memorial service will be held at Pleasant View Mennonite Church, Goshen. Pastor Ron Diener and Deacon Norm Maust will officiate.
